Start Journaling – because it’s worth it
Journaling Isn’t Cringe — It’s How You Stay Sane
If someone read my journal, they’d either call the cops or send me tea. But guess what? No one’s reading it. It’s for me.

Why You Should Start Journaling (Even If It Feels Weird)
Journaling isn’t about writing something pretty or profound. It’s about making space for your thoughts — messy, loud, hidden, or healing.
It clears your head. It softens your inner critic. It’s the one place where you don’t have to make sense to anyone but yourself.
The Biggest Myths About Journaling
- “It’s just for teens.” – False. It’s for anyone who wants to understand what’s going on in their brain.
- “I don’t know what to write.” – Good. That means you’re about to discover something.
- “It takes too much time.” – 3 minutes is better than 0.
How to Start If You Have No Idea What You’re Doing
Start with this: “Right now I feel…” and finish the sentence.
Or answer one of these:
- What felt heavy today?
- What am I pretending not to know?
- What do I wish someone would ask me?
That’s it. You’re journaling now.
Types of Journaling (Yes, You Can Pick One)
- Free flow: Write without rules. Let your brain spill.
- Guided prompts: Answer daily questions.
- Scripting: Write as if your dream life already exists.
- Letters: Write to your past or future self.

10 Questions to Shake Loose Your Thoughts
- What am I still holding on to?
- Who do I feel safe being real with?
- What makes me feel alive?
- What am I afraid will happen if I tell the truth?
- What am I learning the hard way?
- What do I need to let myself grieve?
- Where am I shrinking to be accepted?
- What would I say if I wasn’t afraid?
- What’s one thing I need to hear right now?
- What’s trying to heal in me?
This Isn’t About Being Deep. It’s About Being Honest.
There’s power in knowing what’s going on inside of you — before it explodes out of you.
Start badly. Write like no one’s watching. Because they’re not.
And maybe, when things start making sense on the page, they’ll make a little more sense off of it too.
So… do you journal?
